Question
im 22 yrs old from Alabama(we dont have a boxing commission)so first off when im ready how do i turn pro? since we have no commission here....also me and my trainer are having some issues between us but theres no other local trainers so is there any rules that prohibit me from competing amateur ranks if i dont have a trainer ,i also heard that you cant turn pro alone you have to have a trainer so what are my options?

Answer
You can either turn pro or compete as an amateur as long as you haven't been paid for boxing.  I would suggest that you don't turn pro until you've had at least three years amateur experience.  If you are interested in joining USA Boxing in Alabama as an amateur, please email me at mel@amateurboxing.com and remember to tell me where you live.  I'm sorry, but I don't have any information relating to the pros.
