Question
I am training for my first amateur fight on March 11, I have braces - is that going to be a problem where they won't let me compete?

Answer
Hi Karlo,
Thanks for the question.

You'll need to have written approval from your dentist (and a parent or guardian, if you're under 18), and a dentist-molded mouthpiece.

You also waive your dental coverage under USA Boxing's insurance program, but you will be allowed to compete with braces.

I hope this helps, and best wishes in your first bout!

Thanks again for writing.

Regards,
Lian
