Boxing/National Golden Gloves

Hello jackson, I'm 27 and i've recently taken up boxing for the joy of fighting. I'm currently 2-0 I don't have the experience yet but when i'm ready i'd like to know how to enter a golden gloves (state or national)

You can enter any golden gloves show you want as long as you are registered as a USA amateur boxer. Go to usaboxing.org and click on membership. Call the organization in your area and find out when the next show is. You can only advance to the national golden gloves after winning your regional tournament. You also have to be an open fighter. You will need a bare minimum of 5 fights and the approval of your trainer to go open. Right now you are a novice and will need to get a few more fights before open consideration. But you can fight in any show under the nationals as a novice except you will not advance.

I have been in the sport of boxing since 1984. I started as a boxer and advanced quickly. I was lucky enough to have some of the best sparring in the country with 3 top ten pros in my very gym. I am fortunate enough to live near one of the better boxing programs in the country. We have cultivated our facility into the largest Amateur Boxing Gym in the country. In the mid 90's I became a trainer for Golden Gloves. I train amateur and pro fighters. I have worked in many corners at USA and Golden Glove tournaments. I have worked corners in pro bouts on HBO and ESPN cards. My friend, boss and coach is the former President of Golden Gloves and I trained under his tutelage.
