Question
I know that a fighter cannot take any winnings as an amateur, but As a part time actor in L.A. if I do a photo shoot as a boxer or  a TV or film shoot and play a boxer in the project does that affect my amateur status?

Answer
Hi Spencer,

Thanks for the question.
There's no prohibition on making a living or earning income as an actor or model, even if you're portraying a boxer. Amateur boxers are prohibited from earning pay for boxing (for the most part...I won't confuse you with technicalities!).

I hope this helps, Spencer.
Thanks again for writing!

Regards,
Lian
