Question
hi could you tell me how boxers remain so muscular with the amount of cardiovascular work they do and dieting , i mean mike tyson was huge but he was on a strict diet and a punishing cardio workout but he still managed to mantain large amounts of muscle. Also do boxers train everyday of the week when preparing for a fight, how to they manage to keep there energy up because i tried boxing training everyday for 6 weeks and i was tired out and had no energy so how do boxers manage when they are exausted to step in a ring and be so energetic and strong thanks...

Answer
Well most fighters with large muscles certainly incorporate weight training in their workouts.  There are others where genetics play a part.  Fighters should train at 6 days per week doing something.  They will sometimes have lighter days and other days where it is very heavy including sparring.  Energy is something you get from your diet and supplements, so you might want to look at what you are eating or perhaps your vitamin intake and do you take enough B vitamins.

Thanks,

Joe
