Boxing/coach class

Question
I know that in order to get a coach card you have to first take a 6 hour class. Is that correct and what is taught
in the class and is there a test at the end?

Answer
In order to work a corner in a sanctioned amateur boxing event, you must be a registered non-athlete member of USA Boxing and attend a 6-8 hour certification clinic.  I have never taken the class, so I can't give you an answer to that one - rules, judging, nutrition are some of the topics, I think.  A test is given at the end of the clinic.  Please email me at mel@amateurboxing.com, tell me the city and state you live in and I'll send you a contact for your area.
