Question
has there ever been a time when you were able to see the judges score cards before the bout was over?ever in boxing history

Answer
Hi Tony,

Thanks for the question.
There have been situations in the past where boxing commissions and organizations have experimented with "open scoring," which means the judges' scores were announced to the audience either after each round, or after a certain number of rounds. Currently, I believe the World Boxing Council (WBC) still uses this practice on occassion. The actual scorecards aren't available for review until after the bout is completed, however. They reside with the boxing commission's ringside inspector until after the final result has been tallied.

I hope this helps, Tony.

Thanks again for writing!

Regards,
Lian
