Boxing/Wht shud i put in my punching bag.. ?

How r u ? can u help me out ?? day before yesterday i brought a punching bag... but i didn't know what should i put in it.. my some friends told me to put sand in it..
my bag is like this

and i put sand in it.. but its become so heavy and yesterday i started punching on it.. i did harder like i am beating my enemy.. but it was really tough.. i was punching on it with boxing gloves.. but it was so hard.. n it soiled my hands .. what should i do ?? should i put something else inside it ?? plz help me out ??

You really need a coach to tell you how to do things correctly, including filling bags and the proper way to hit the bag with the proper gloves.
