Question
joe,  i've just discovered boxing and am curious as to how one trains with weights.  you hear so many ways to do it that are opposite.  confusing... how many days each week do boxers lift weights?  which muscles are worked?  how many reps and sets?  how much rest time between sets?  appreciate your wisdom and time,  rick

Answer
The answer to this would be very long winded but in a nutshell yes use weights but avoid most powerlifting, and instead concentrate on form and higher repetitions.  3 days per week of whole body weight training would be sufficient and train the other days doing mostly boxing drills.

Thanks,

Joe
