Question Hi there, can you please tell me why the corners in boxing are red and blue? What is the history behind this? Why that particular color choice? Much appreciated.
Answer There really is nothing other than to distinquish between opponents. In fact some rings are not red and blue but black and gold. In the old days they were not colored at all and the announcer would say in this corner is so and so, and he would have to point.
