Question
what's going on I am looking for information on how to become a boxing judge/referee. How would I go about getting into that profession. I figured it wasn't really a full-time job. But are their certain schools, certifications, or organizations that I would need to have or be affiliated with. By chance, do you know where I could find the pay scale averages for type of matches ranking from amateur fights up to professional big time matches.... thanks for any help.... oh, I live in florida, but am willing to go other places for opportunities

Answer
That kind of thing is handled at the state boxing commission.  Contact your state board of athletics, or you could talk to one of the judges at the next local boxing show.  These jobs pay okay for the amount of time there just isnt that many events.  It would be tough making that as your means of living.

Thanks,

Joe
