Question
Hi my is Gary i am 43 year old living in nyc i love boxing .i want to be refree ,whats the best way to go about it.Hope you can help thank you.

Answer
Hi Gary - you'll need to register with USA Boxing and attend a 6-8 hour official's clinic.  You'll start out learning how to clerk, work the glove table and timekeep.  Referee training would probably start in about a year.  For information on how to register in NYC, you can go to www.usaboxingmetro.com.
