Question I am eighteen years old i just started to box i love the sport intensely and would like to pursuit my dream of going pro. I am 5'5 115lbs. I have been working out for a few months and believe i'm in decent shape. is there hope for me? and what could i do to improve? and should i take supplements and if so which ones?
Answer It you are serious about turning pro and becoming something other than an opponent, you should plan on competing as an amateur for at least two to five years with a good coach. This will give you the basics, teach you technique and get you used to actually competing. Training yourself is not a good option. Most states won't license a pro unless he/she has had some amateur experience. If you are interested, you can email me at mel@amateurboxing.com. I'll need to know what city and state you live in so I can send you a contact.
