Answer
Hi Jason - in order to compete in sanctioned amateur boxing events, you will have to register with USA Boxing (copy of your birth certificate, two passport-type pictures and a yearly membership fee, January to December).  You will also need to have a registered and certified coach work your corner during competitions.  For a contact in Kentucky who can answer any questions, please email me at mel@amateurboxing.com and remind me the city and state you live in.
