Question
Hi I'm kayla and I'm 17 years old, almost 18. I was wondering if you think it's too late to become an amateur boxer? Especially with college coming up in a couple months. Would that hold me back or is it still possible to learn how to box? What would I have to do to start off?

Answer
Hi Kayla - 18 is too late only in the context that most boxers start when they are 8 years old.  However, starting at 18 is better than waiting until you are 25 or 30!  Email me at mel@amateurboxing.com, tell me the city and state you live in, and I'll send you a contact who can refer you to a gym and trainer in your area.
