Question
hi i have just started boxing and i know im bit overweight as im 5 ft 5 and weigh 9 stones i presume 8 stones would be an ideal weight for me im not sure...anyways my question is about diet i know that boxers tend to eat 5/6 small meals a day however i usually eat 3 meals a day and snack twice is this the same my diet is:

breakfast: weetabix with a cup of tea
snack: apple or banana
lunch: a whole roast chicken on its own ( was wondering if i should eat a whole roast chicken )
snack: can of baked beans or an apple
dinner: tuna sandwich

i try to drink alot of water during the day and when i do have drinks its diluted with water anyways i was wondering if this would be ideal i know by eating this i can get my weight down to 55kg as i have done before but was wondering if i should cut down on the chicken in one sitting im in two minds as i need the protein and after eating the chicken i still aint full so im thinking it would be alryt plus i

Answer
Mo,

It sounds like your on the right track. Your eating looks good and I wouldn't really change much. Just make sure your last meal is not right before bed. Stay away from bread. No soft drinks. Don't eat the whole chicken, eat half one day and then save the other half for the next day. If you drink milk, skim only.

Your doing well, along with your running the weight should come off.

good luck,
Jackson
