Question
Hi. I'm an armature boxer in a country far from the USA, in Africa. I've always wished for becoming a Pro boxer in the USA. My goal is to get a student scholarship there and hopefully be able get accepted into a club, and maybe get promoted. My other goal is to get far in the Olympics in 2012. Is it that easy to get a promotion? Or is it impossible? I really need help because i feel my goal can never be accomplished. I'm a 15 year old boy, and i would really appreciate it if you helped me.
Thanks.

Answer
Hi Matthew - even if you were to get sponsored to the USA, you would not be able to box for the USA team since you are not a citizen.  You would have to try out for your country's team.  I don't deal with the pros but I can tell you that you wouldn't be able to get licensed until you are at least 18.
