Question
hi i boxed from the age of 13 to 17 i am now 28 and have decided to give it another go i have had 6 bouts since i won my first 2 but lost my last 4 on points because of fitness i train every day im fit at running but seems my ring fitness is poor what training schedule should i do i am 75 kilos and 5ft 6 am i the right weight or should i diet

You need both cardio and muscular endurance for boxing. Sounds like it's your endurance. You also need to incorporate interval training into your running. After you do your distance run you should do 5 to 10 50 yard sprints.
You should also get on the bag and do 5 to 10 sets of non-stop straight punches for 30 seconds after your workout. This is leading up to a fight about 3 weeks out.
As long as you are below 10% bodyfat then you are at your fight weight or very close.

I have been in the sport of boxing since 1984. I started as a boxer and advanced quickly. I was lucky enough to have some of the best sparring in the country with 3 top ten pros in my very gym. I am fortunate enough to live near one of the better boxing programs in the country. We have cultivated our facility into the largest Amateur Boxing Gym in the country. In the mid 90's I became a trainer for Golden Gloves. I train amateur and pro fighters. I have worked in many corners at USA and Golden Glove tournaments. I have worked corners in pro bouts on HBO and ESPN cards. My friend, boss and coach is the former President of Golden Gloves and I trained under his tutelage.
