Question
instead of a golden glove boxing club is a boxing club that is a member of usa boxing okay for competing. and how much money do you make when you start out in pro boxing. and if you lose do you still get money. another question is can you get a name if you start as a pro with no ameteur fights. and can you tell me how much money you make in 20 fights

Answer
Joel,

Yes, As long as they are a USA boxing member then you can get where your going.

Starting out with no name you will make in the neighborhood of $500 a fight. If you have a strong name from the amateurs you could start out around $2000 a fight. The purse is decided before the fight so you are guaranteed a certain amount win or lose.
Yes you can get a name without amateur experience but it takes a long time unless you knockout your first 15 opponents. At first you will be labeled as an "opponent" after they see you have no background. But you can shake that label if you develop into a threat. To be a threat you need decent defense, a big punch and a respectable amount of boxing skills.
Ironically, technical type boxing skills are not as important in the pros as they are in the amateurs. Not that I approve of that, but that's just the way is.

After 20 fights it depends on your record and how you won or lost the fights as to how much you might make. If you are 20-0 you might be considered a contender so obviously you'll make more. If you are 10-10 then you will be labeled as a journeyman and you'll make less. If your 4-16 then your labeled as an opponent and make even less.

Best of luck,
Jackson
