Question
Hello Lian. First, thank you for taking my question.  my question is, How long does a professional fighter have to wait before he can fight again in NY state. I heard it is 3 days per round he fights.

Thank you
Charles

Answer
Hi Charles,
Thanks for the question.
I went to the New York State Athletic Commission web page and dug around, but I didn't see a specific restriction on a minimum number of days between bouts. I did see some related language in the boxers' contract that talks about what could happen if a boxer takes another  bout before one for which he is already contracted. Here is the link to that form: http://www.dos.state.ny.us/athletic/pdfs/0780.pdf

I'll keep digging!
Thanks again for writing, Charles.

Regards,
Lian
