Question
dear sir,
i would like to ask a question that has played on my mind for many years,in 1980 my brother was boxing & in one of his fights he knocked out the opposion in the first round the fight was in total 11seconds long incuding the count i have wondered for many years if this was any kind of record, but sadly my brother was killed in a car accident the same year so it has taken me a long time to ask this question, any reply would be greatly welcomed.many thanks Ian Roberts.

Answer
Hi Ian,
Thanks for the question.
I found a 10.5 second bout from 1946 : http://ask.yahoo.com/20010517.html

That was a welterweight bout won by Al Couture. If you could provide me with your brother's name, I could do some research and see what the officialy recorded time was for his bout, assuming it was a professional bout.

Thanks again for writing, Ian, and my deepest condolences on your brother.

Regards,
Lian
