Question
Im 17 almost 18 but i weigh 150, im going for heavy weight champion, how much weight im i gonna put on my own, am i done growing? otherwise ill be lifting weights and eating alot. and also i need to start training to box but im broke and dont have a job but i plan go to a gym when i get the money and train but i honestly dont know where to go and what to do. if you have any advice i could use it. but one day i am going to heavy weight world champ

You probably won't grow in height anymore past 19 but you can put on weight. You can keep lifting and you will start adding size and weight.
Look in your area for a golden gloves boxing gym. Every town does not have one so you have have to join a private boxing gym. You should be assigned a trainer and after he feels you are ready to compete, you will get your first fight.
Running is the name of the game. Get your body in shape and your cardio in top condition. The skills you will learn in the gym but you must discipline yourself to do the running on your own.

My trainer/boss of 24 years is in the Golden Gloves Hall of Fame and trained the heavyweight champion of the world. I have been in the sport of boxing since 1984. I started as a boxer and advanced quickly. I was lucky enough to have some of the best sparring in the country with 3 top ten pros in my very gym. I am fortunate enough to live near one of the better boxing programs in the country. We have cultivated our facility into the largest Amateur Boxing Gym in the country. In the mid 90's I became a trainer for Golden Gloves. I train amateur and pro fighters. I have worked in many corners at USA and Golden Glove tournaments. I have worked corners in pro bouts on HBO and ESPN cards. My friend, boss and coach is the former President of Golden Gloves and I trained under his tutelage.
