Boxing - trainers license

Expert: Lian Shoemake - 5/12/2009

Question
I have been a boxer my whole life and now i am training amateur fighters here in Texas. I know I need to obtain a trainers license to work the corner but I can't find the information I need to attend one of the licensing events. Can you tell me how to find them or when and where they occure?

Answer
Hi Tony,
Thanks for the question.
You'll need to get in touch with your USA Boxing Local Boxing Committee (LBC). Find your geographic area on the list that appears when you go to the URL I've provided below. When you've located the LBC that covers your area, get in touch with the contact person listed there. He or she can tell you about registration, and upcoming coaches' certification clinics in your area.

I hope this helps, Tony.
Thanks again for writing!
Regards,
Lian
