Question I am 38 years old. Am I too old to compete in a boxing tournament (as a novice, I have 0 fights). I heard there is a limit on age but do not know the exact age limit. What are my options, if any. Respectfully yours, Miguel Angel.
Answer Hi Miguel - There is a Masters Boxing Division for athletes 35 and over. You would need to register with USA Boxing after undergoing an extensive medical exam. And the only real activity for Master boxers is at the annual Ringside tournament. If you're interested, please email me at mel@amateurboxing.com, tell me the city and state you live in, and I'll send you the Masters rules and a contact.
