Question
how long should you have been boxing avergally before becoming olympic standard.

Answer
Hey mishka,
That really is hard to answer. It's not just the boxer but the trainers as well and also the competitors you meet along the way. It also depends when you start. If you're eleven, then maybe 7 or 8 years. If you're thirteen, maybe 4-6. If everything goes together, anywhere from 4 to 10 years I'd say. Sorry I can't give you a closer number than that.
