Question
Hi Alan
i have recently broke my collarbone playing football, since then i have noticed my power and my speed in my left arm have been weaker and slower, which i understand will be normal, i have been training hard on the speed bag and punching bag trying to fix this, i have not noticed much improvement. is there anything else i can do to help or will this just take time? Thanks

Answer
HI Brian,

Having come back from many injuries myself the only real answer is "TIME".  You cannot fast forward healing or a return to normal.  Be patient and do smart, conservative training.  Healing takes a lot longer than most people think and you do not want to re-injure the area or cause a chronic pain condition.  Please do NOT overtrain.  YOu will most likely return to your pre-injury speed with time.  Good luck.

sincerely,
