Question
My son used to compete a few years ago, but he no longer does.
His old coach does not coach anymore, and I want to train him
to compete once again. How do I get a coaching license, and
how do I get my son a license to compete?

Answer
Please email me at mel@amateurboxing.com, tell me the city and state you live in and I'll send you a contact.  You will have to join USA Boxing (membership fee, January to December) and attend a 6-8 hour certification clinic.  To register your son, you will need a copy of his birth certificate or passport, two passport-type pictures, and your signature on the waiver if he is under 18.  There is also a yearly (January to December) membership fee for athletes.
