Question
I got a friend that went to the marines and came out afew years later saying he was a golden glove boxing champion.i kinda figure he is a liar.is there anyway to prove it if he did or not.his name is david castaneda he lived in globe,az and know in yuma,az

Answer
There is no archive of amateur records and the only way you can find out if it's true would be to see his USA Boxing passbook.  It is, however, entirely possible that he won his State Golden Gloves.  You can look at the Golden Gloves web site and see if he ever won the national championships.
