Question
Hi. I want to register as an amateur boxer and enter some local competitions. Can I still participate if I don't have any club affiliation and no coach? And I'm also having trouble finding any events that I could participate in. When I register will I be given any information on upcomming events or something?

P.S I live outside of Phillie,
Thanks!
Cameron

Answer
You will need to have a USA Boxing registered and certified coach in your corner.  And in order to get yourself registered, you'll need a copy of your birth certificate, two head-shot pictures, and a parent's signature on your membership application if you are under 18 years old.  There is also a yearly fee (January to December).  Please email me at mel@amateurboxing.com, tell me your city and state, and I'll send you a contact in your area.
