Hi im new to this forum, but i was hope to get some answers out of this. im looking to hold amateur event in Brooklyn to raise money for a charity.What would be the basic set-up and process for this?
In order to host an amateur event, you and your gym will need to be registered with USA Boxing. Or you can work with a registered gym to put on such an event. You can go to www.usaboxingmetro.com and probably find answers to your questions. Please let me know if you need anything else.

I can answer all questions related to amateur boxing except those having to do with the actual physical training. I am not a coach. 8-) 21 years as an amateur boxing official; certified computer scoring technician; have worked on many tournament administration staffs; have coordinated a major national invitational tournament; have served as secretary, treasurer and Junior Olympic Chairman at the local level.
