Boxing/Youth Boxing Program

Question
Hello, I want to start a youth boxing program in Los Angeles.  I would like to give free lessons to youth under 18 years old.  Do I need any special licensing to do so?  And what information should I request from the participants?  And finally, what would I need to do differently if I charged a fee for lessons?  I would use any money paid for equipment and any fees the athlete might require.
Thank you

Answer
It would be a very good idea to register your club and your trainers with USA Boxing.  All of your athletes should also be registered with USA Boxing so they can compete in local shows.  Please email me at mel@amateurboxing.com, send me your postal address, and I'll mail you information.  Whether or not you charge is up to you and doesn't impact your standing with USA Boxing.
