Question
WHY DO BOXERS FIGHT QUITE A FEW LBS BELOW THEIR NORMAL WEIGHT? IS THIS SOME TYPE OF ADVANTAGE. I WALK AROUND AT 160 AND I WANT TO FIGHT AT 160 BUT NOT IF ALL MY OPPONENTS ARE 8-10 LBS HEAVIER THE DAY OF THE FIGHT. I DONT WANT TO DEHYDRATE MYSELF LIKE OTHER FIGHTERS. WHAT'S YOUR OPINION?

Answer
When you fight, you do not want useless unwanted fat on your body that may slow you down.  To fight at the lowest weight class that you can make without being uncomfortable is advisable this will give you an advantage even in the height department which usually means reach as well.
