Boxing/Is it too late to start boxing at a serious level?

Question
I just turned 18 in July and I've always wanted to get into boxing. I trained at the Cus' D'amato gym in the catskills for about a week back when I was 17, but had to stop because the drive was too long for me to pay for. But I really want to do this as a profession. Is it too late for me to start and make it pro one day?

Answer
It isn't too late, but you are starting at an older age than most.  :)  I would suggest that you get in three to four years of amateur experience and then turn pro.  Please email me at mel@amateurboxing.com, tell me the city and state you live in and I'll send you a contact.
