Question
Hi, My question is I am thinking about getting into boxing to get myself in shape.  I am a 41 year old female, I weigh 175 and am 5'3.  I've been exercising for about a year now and have gotten to a plateau of losing weight.  I have actually lost a lot.  I want to know the best type of boxing that will help tone and get rid of the weight around my mid section and tone my thighs.

Answer
As long as you are throwing punches correctly by using your whole body this will get you in shape, but if you do not diet then you will have problems, so the diet is as important as the boxing is.  Also it would not hurt for you to find a boxing trainer to guide you each day.
