Question
Do you have to have a number of fights under your belt before you can join a Golden Gloves Tournament ? Also, once you join the tournament I am confused on whether or not the novices fight other new comers or how that works. Thanks
The Golden Gloves hosts two tournaments at the local level. There is a non-advancing novice tournament for athletes will 10 or less bouts experience. The open tournament is for boxers with 11 or more bouts experience and winners advance to state and the national tournament.
