Question
Just recently my brother asked me to help manage and train him for a career in boxing.  The only real experience I have though is that I boxed while I was in the navy the training part I can handle easily enough but the management part I don't know much about.  How and where can I learn more about management?  Also someone else asked about age my brother is 25 hes 6'6 290 lbs is there any new rules on the weight of boxers? last I knew for hvyweight it was unlimited.  any insight you could give me would be appreciated.  We are from conneaut ohio.

Answer
If your brother is planning to compete as an amateur, he won't need a manager.  He will need to register with USA Boxing, as will his coach, who must also be certified.  You can email me at mel@amateurboxing.com if you are interested in amateur boxing and I'll send you a contact.  Please remind me of the city and state you live in.
