Boxing/hitman style

Question
Is there much more to describe the Hitman style of boxing than just a lowered lead arm and its offensive boost? If so, could you provide the details?

Well overall his style is totally based around his jab. Inside fighting is practically nonexistent. If he got close he would just hold. Your going to get away with holding a lot more in the pros, especially in a title fight, so sometimes it's used as a strategy. Lots of jabs, and when you start connecting consistently, then it's time to throw the right hand.
If a guy can shoot from the hip effectively like that, it can be an advantage because the jab is so far away from the right you can't look at them at the same time defensively like you can a traditional style.
I only teach it if it is natural to the boxer.

In the mid 90's I became a trainer for Golden Gloves. I train amateur and pro fighters. I have worked in many corners at USA and Golden Glove tournaments. I have worked corners in pro bouts on HBO and ESPN cards. My friend, boss and coach is the former President of Golden Gloves and I trained under his tutelage.
