Question
i am 14 and my coach tells me i'm really good if i train hard and study the sport by what age do you think i could go pro?

Answer
Marlon,

It is hard to predict because so many things factor into this decision. I always suggest that you don't rush turning pro. Older guys turn pro quick because they are running out of time and want to jump in and build a record.
You are at the perfect age to start boxing. You have plenty of time. Get as many fights as you can as a junior. When you turn 17 you will move into the senior division and hopefully be fighting "open" right off the bat. This is where you will move to the next level with your skills.

At your age I would definitely try to win a national title for 3 or 4 years before turning pro. If I were you I would have over a 100 fights before I turned pro because "time" is on your side. There is nothing more important than experience before turning pro. Qualifying for national tournaments, even if you don't win a national title, will increase your ability to make money as a pro.
If you turn pro too early with little experience, your chances of success in the pros is very slim.

Good Luck
