Boxing/Do I have hope?

Question
I'm 22year-old boy without any boxing experience, but strong like a metal and I'm willing to be like Muhammad Ali (become a heavyweight boxer) before the completion of my degree in physical and health education and later become a soldier in the latter future. Please, is there any hope for me?

Yes, of course there is hope for you. There is only one person who can stop you from pursuing a dream, and that is you. You are still young enough to learn the craft. And it sounds like you have the right attitude for the sport. Life only goes around once, so you don't want to look back in 20 years and think, "I wonder if I could have done it?"
You don't need experience to begin. No one has any experience when they start boxing, so your always starting on a level playing field. You will only compete against guys with the same level of experience and the same weight as you.
Just maintain your current discipline and determination, train hard, and you will have an excellent chance at being a great boxer.

I have been in the sport of boxing since 1984. I started as a boxer and advanced quickly. I was lucky enough to have some of the best sparring in the country with 3 top ten pros in my very gym. I am fortunate enough to live near one of the better boxing programs in the country. We have cultivated our facility into the largest Amateur Boxing Gym in the country. In the mid 90's I became a trainer for Golden Gloves. I train amateur and pro fighters. I have worked in many corners at USA and Golden Glove tournaments. I have worked corners in pro bouts on HBO and ESPN cards. My friend, boss and coach is the former President of Golden Gloves and I trained under his tutelage.
