Boxing/Starting Boxing

Hi, I've been watching Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson Videos since i was a kid and i am starting to take interest in boxing. My dream to become a professional boxer one day. But unfortunately there aren't any boxing gyms near my house, only regular workout gyms. However I did purchase boxing gloves and a punching bag so i can workout at home. I just want your opinion on what I should do, start going to the the regular gym near my house and doing weights or start boxing at home.
I am 18 years old
Your advice would be much appreciated :) Thank you

Unfortunately you will not have much success if you attempt things on your own.  You will just develope bad habits that a trainer would have to break.  Go to to find a possible gym near you and you may also be able to find a trainer on this site as well.  Good luck with your quest.
