Question
Looking information on how to become a judge in the state of Michigan?

Answer
Hi Al,
Thanks for the question.

Pro boxing in your state is regulate by the Michigan Boxing Commission. Here's a link to the commission's page:
http://www.michigan.gov/cis/0,1607,7-154-35299_35414_35453---,00.html

Go to that page and scroll down to "Licenses and Requirements" and click. There you'll find the requirements for licensing for various positions in pro boxing, including judges.
The commission is under the Department of Labor and Economic Growth. The contact number is (517) 373-1820.

I hope this helps, Al.
Thanks again for writing!

Regards,
Lian

I can answer questions regarding rules for both pro and amateur boxing; upcoming bouts; fight analysis/predictions; various other questions. I am an experienced amateur boxing official with USA Boxing (14 years) and I have completed a yearlong professional officials` clinic with the California State Athletic Commission.
