Question
Hello. I am about to enter my first pro fight and wish for a bit of advice. In training, I knocked out all my sparring partners with one punch - so should I use this tactic in the fight or should I wear him down with my superior fitness?
Many Thanks.

Answer
Hi Ivan.

I would create a plan and follow it. I'm thinking you have a coach? As him what might be appropriate, for the answer also depends on your opponent.  And if you CAN beat him easy enough, why not get some ring work?  If you have it all well in hand, work a few rounds on some things like combos, defense, footwork, etc.  Then when you get a good workout and have shown the crowd and promoters you stuff, take him out.  The crowd really doesn't appreciate a one round fight and it doesn't really impress the boxing press, so I would suggest going a few rounds - especially since it is your first fight. Of course, if the other guy is your equal or superior, you may have to fight your heart out just to stay in. It depends on your competition. If you or your coach don't know anything about the guy, begin cautiously.

good luck in your career! Hope to see you on Showtime of Pay-per-view some day.
