Question
Is it harmful for kids to punch the boxing bag? What age is safe for punching?

Answer
Always keep something in mind, and that is the hand is meant for grabbing and not punching, so there is always a degree of danger and chance for injury.  With this in mind, if hands are properly wrapped and proper gloves are worn, and of course punches are thrown correctly, then I feel that at age 9 they could probably start.  Make sure that they do not have any real problems or injuries that already exist.
