Boxing/Charles MacIntyre 1950-1970
Expert: Lian Shoemake - 8/14/2005
QuestionI understand that this question may not be one you can answer, but you may be able to put me in touch with someone who can answer it.
My question is;
I need a website that I can acess to find out information on the boxer Charles MacIntyre (not to be confused with the one of the 1900's.)
The one I wish to know about is the Charles MacIntyre who boxed from 1950 to 1970, and mostly in Ontario, and Nova Scotia.
I sure hope that you can help me.
Charles is a friend of mine and not to long ago he had a fire in his home and lost all of his career stuff in this fire.
I am trying to get some of it back for him, and am having trouble getting to the right websites.
Please help.
Thankyou.

AnswerHi Sharon,
Thanks for writing.
I'm not sure which type of information you might be looking for regarding Charlie, or what career stuff could be retrievable via the web, but I was able to locate his career record, opponents and dates of his bouts.
I'll provide you the direct URL, but just for future reference, I'll tell you that I went to www.boxrec.com, and searched on the name "Charlie Macintyre", and his career record became accessible.
The direct link (which you can cut and paste from here) is:
http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=077170
I did a few other searches, but unfortunately I wasn't able to find any additional information.
You might be able to track down more information by pursuing other Canadian boxers or trainers of that era with whom Charlie may have been familiar, but he would be your resource for those names.
I hope this helps some, Sharon.
Thanks again for writing, and all the best in your quest!
Regards,
Lian
