Question
I'm an amateur boxer in Pittsburgh,Pa. I want to fight in philadelphia. I have a lisence and I'm ready to fight. My trainer does not want to travel. What should I do? Do you know of any upcoming Open tournaments in Philadelphia? Can I fight without a my actual trainer in my corner?

Answer
Please email me at mel@amateurboxing.com and I'll give you a contact who can tell you about upcoming shows and tournaments in Philly.  However, you're in a different LBC than Philadelphia so you would not be able to participate in any of Philly's advancing tournaments.  You will also need to find a coach to work your corner if you trainer doesn't want to travel.  Sounds to me like you need a new trainer.  8-)  Someone who's willing to take you to various areas for experience.
