Hi, i would like to register for golden gloves tournament (not the training). can you tell me what i have to bring with me? and can i call them to register for a tournament or do i have to go there. also do i need a manager/trainer to fight in the tournaments, or can i go alone. i am 17. i have no amateur experience before. and i weigh 164 can move up or down a couple of pounds.

Thanks for the questions. The answer to the most important question (registration) will lead to the answer to the other questions.
First, you need to register with your Local Boxing Committee (LBC) through USA Boxing. To do that, go to www.usaboxing.org, and click on "Membership." Find your geographical area and contact the registration chairperson listed there.
You must have a coach, so the registration chairperson can provide you with information about registered coaches and gyms in your area.
