hi, Jack
Im buying a heavy bag, but i don t know what size to buy.Im 16 years old, 1,76-77 m (5,8 feet) tall,and I have 63 kg(138 lbs) I do some weigth-lifting with 10-15 kg weights(for biceps)5-7 for triceps...and so on.i used to hit the bag at my school gym when i was little,but it was like 30 Lbs.i will use the bag to get in shape,gain some power and for conditioning.I like those angle bags(everlast,...)but they are usually come in 60 lbs.What is the best heavy bag size for me?

Hi Erik,    Sorry you did not get my first response. They just sent a notice to me that there were some problems so hopefully this one will go through.
For your size and considering you are still growing, I would recommend the 70 lb. bag. I also highly recommend you get a leather bag. They last longer and are easy to clean. They also make a popping sound when you hit the bag, and as odd as it may sound, it actually helps you judge you power and speed. The canvas bags are too quiet and they are also hard to clean. The vinyl bags just dont last long enough.....

I have been in the sport of boxing since 1984. I started as a boxer and advanced quickly. I was lucky enough to have some of the best sparring in the country with 3 top ten pros in my very gym. I am fortunate enough to live near one of the better boxing programs in the country. We have cultivated our facility into the largest Amateur Boxing Gym in the country. In the mid 90's I became a trainer for Golden Gloves. I train amateur and pro fighters. I have worked in many corners at USA and Golden Glove tournaments. I have worked corners in pro bouts on HBO and ESPN cards. My friend, boss and coach is the former President of Golden Gloves and I trained under his tutelage.
