Question
If a fighter is a few inches shorter than his opponent, say 2 or 3, but he still has a greater reach than his taller opponent, does the smaller fighter still need to get inside to be effective. What advantages/disadvantages does the shorter fighter, with greater reach, have?

Answer
No they do not have to fight inside, and the advantage is the taller fighter usually has to punch downward which even shortens his reach more.  So that is a big advantage.  Hold your arm out straight then hold it going downward and you will see what I mean, you will not be able to reach as far.

Thanks,

Joe
