Question
Hello Jack
I´ve been fighting for 2 years amateur boxing and decided to
change from 75 kg to 69 kg category.
Training is going ok with two daily sessions and weight at about 70
kg but im now starting to feel tired, and experience speed lost.
What should i add to my diet supplements besides vitamins,
minerals and creatine?
Regards
Pedro

Answer
Pedro,   the problem could be a couple of things... for one if you dropped weight and didn't have any fat on your body then you lost muscle and your body is telling you that you are lower than you should be... on the other hand you could just be dehydrated... this could happen if your always trying to cut weight plus the creatine could have an impact... I actually don't recommend creatine for boxers because you have to drink a lot of water while your on it or you will easily become dehydrated which causes weakness and muscle cramps....   as far as your diet I would suggest eating more complex carbs, like baked patatos, corn, peas greens, brown rice.. unlike simple carbs, these offer sustained energy and are not easily converted to fat like simple carbs....

good luck and thanks for the question,

jack
