Question
I am interested in starting a boxing career. I did not see a contact on the USA Boxing website. Could you tell me who I might contact to get started? Do you think 28 is too old to start a boxing career?

Answer
Hi Josh,
Thanks for the question.

Here's the info for the person you need to contact to register in your LBC:

Oklahoma
Shirley McCann
(918) 775-3236

As far as your age, it really depends on what your goals are. If you're planning any type of advancement in the amateurs or a serious professional career later, I would say that 28 is very late. If your goals are different, then perhaps your age isn't such a big factor.

I hope this helps, Josh.

Thanks again for writing!

Regards,
Lian
